As Research Data Analyst, Parash assists the Systems Design team with student data. Before joining Smarter Balanced, Parash worked in various roles conducting data analysis, including as a research assistant, intern, and student worker. His research background/interest is in developmental economics. Parash received a MS in Mathematics (Data Mining Emphasis) from Tarleton State University, Texas A&M System and BA degrees in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Northern Iowa.
Originally from Nepal, Parash enjoys the outdoors, especially hiking and camping. Parash loves helping students with their academics, especially math, and he has been tutoring math for about 8 years.
